CHAMBER MUSIC
JOAQUIN TURINA-PIANO QUARTET OP. 67

NEIL GALANTER
with MEMBERS OF THE LOS ANGELES PHILHARMONIC

In February, I played a very interesting Piano Quartet (Op. 67) by the Spanish composer Joaquin Turina (1882-1949) with members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The Quartet was written in the late 1920's and is infrequently performed.

Here are the second and third (Final) movements of the Quartet:

II: Vivo: A rondo type movement which brings back some elements of the 1st mvmt in thematic transformation.

III: Andante - Allegretto - Allegro molto
