I am currently preparing music of the French composer Yann Tiersen for a tour in Europe. He wrote the very successful music for two films: Amelie & Good Bye Lenin. His music is a pithy mixture of French impressionism, minimalism and straightforward romantic melodicism. This music is exactly in the bridge area of which I spoke. It beautifully and artfully fuses multi-traditions of music together.
