Preparing music of the highly underrated Norwegian composer:
Agathe Backer Grøndahl (1847-1907).
for concerts, lectures and seminars in Norway during the 08-09 season

Very melodic, romantic 19th century composer whose music definitely deserves to be played...

Listen to short excerpt...

Some posters, artwork and announcements from various concerts:

Some of my favourite artists, friends and colleagues and their websites that are close to my heart:

Brilliant Norwegian Singer, Songwriter and Guitarist and friend of mine: Sondre Lerche
His website with lots of cool music clips and info here:
Sondre Lerche

Marvelous Norwegian pianist and friend of mine with his superb Jazz Combo:
Erik Håkon Halvorsen

Other artists: past and present whose work I admire:

Elton John

Vladimir Horowitz

Antonio Carlos Jobim

I am currently preparing music of the French composer Yann Tiersen for a tour in Europe. He wrote the very successful music for two films: Amelie & Good Bye Lenin. His music is a pithy mixture of French impressionism, minimalism and straightforward romantic melodicism. This music is exactly in the bridge area of which I spoke. It beautifully and artfully fuses multi-traditions of music together.
There are excerpts from two selections below:

Yann Tiersen: Preparations for last TV Fake: excerpt below in first music player:

Yann Tiersen: Comptine d'ete no. 3 below in second music player:
